Doha: Tulu Koota's First-ever Quiz Contest Draws Tremendous Response

Doha, Oct 8: Tulu Koota under the inspiring leadership of Ramachandra Shetty scaled another first by organizing a first-ever quiz contest on Friday October 7 evening. It was open for all and the contestants were required to form a team of two each.
A total of 15 teams (30 contestants) participated in the preliminary round which was hosted by impressive quiz master Rajshekar Bappal. The top 6 teams then moved on the final round which witnessed a nail-biting finish with all the 6 teams putting up an impressive show.
The teams that reached the finals were:
1) KSQ Quizers (Arun Kumar and Deepak Shetty)
2} Kaizer (Aditiya and Ravi Kumar Rai)
3) Coorg Champions (Navaneeth and Shresht Shetty)
4) Quiz Warriors (Rajshekar Kalayan Sheti and Anand Balu)
5) Double Devils (Vinayak Kamath and Rachana Kamath)
6) CITREX (Abhilish and Manoj)
Karnataka Sangha Qatar’s KSQ Quizzers team comprising Arun Kumar and Deepak Shetty walked away with the winners’ trophy while Kaizer team comprising Aditya and Ravi Kumar Rai bagged the runners-up trophy.
Kiran Anand explained the rules of the quiz contest at the beginning before Bappal took over the proceedings and did a fabulous job.
Earlier during the short stage programme Tulu Koota president and vice-president escorted the guests to the dais. The guests were welcomed with the bouquets. KSQ president V S Mannangi was the chief guest of the evening while Alfred Sequeira, MD of Gulf International and Bunts Qatar president and managing director of ATS Ravi Shetty were the guests of honour. Tulu Koota president Ramachandra Shetty addressed the gathering and thanked everyone for making it possible to organize quiz contest.
The quiz committee comprising of Harish Poojary, Seethram Shetty, Kiran Anand and Santosh Bandary did a wonderful job in overseeing the evening proceedings. Harish Poojary read out the winners’ names. The winners were presented with memoto. The evening came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Seetharam Shetty.
