Mangalore: 'Dasara Vaibhava' Adds Vivacity to Festivities

Mangalore, Oct 7: 'Dasara Vaibhava' organized by the Mangalore Friends near Lalbagh circle here on Thursday October 6 added much glamour and charm to the Dasara celebrations in the vibrantly-lit city.
Youngsters in large numbers flocked the venue and swayed with the lively music that saw them enjoying right through the event.
Dasara Vaibhava, organized as per the directions of district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar, was presided over by mayor Praveen.
Surabhi troupe presented orchestra while noted singers like Anitha Samson, Shreekanth, Ranjandas, Kiran, Akhila, Prahallad, Naveen Koppa and Shali had the crowd dance to tune after tune with their scintillating rendering of popular numbers.
On the occasion, Ganesh G K Moodubidre (entrepreneur), Shreya Jain (dancer), T B Belagavi (government servant) Shashikala (social service) were honoured.
Suraj Kalya, a businessman, sponsored a wheelchair on the occasion.
Shreya Jain’s dance performance ‘Pushpanjali’ added a classical flavour to the evening.
Geetha Nayak, deputy mayor, Gautham Agarwala, MD of National Consumer Fair, Koragappa, Nithin Shetty, SPG Commandant, Dayanand Kukkaje of Daijiworld.com, Mangalore Friends president Bhaskar Amtoor, Shashidhar, Naveen Chandra, Santhosh D'Mello were present during the inauguration.
