Kundapur, Apr 5: A gang of masked men attempted to steal gold from a jewellery shop located at the Shanubhogue complex near NH 66 in Thekkatte in December 2023. Following CCTV footage analysis, Kota police, under the orders of SP Dr Arun K, commenced a search for the accused and successfully apprehended three individuals after three months.
The arrested accused are identified as Arshit Avinash Dodre, also known as Mohammed Arshad (23), a resident of Nanthoor; Rizwan (24), a resident of Byndoor Paduvari; and Mohammed Arbaaz (23), a resident of Paduvari in Byndoor.

On December 21, 2023, intruders entered the Samruddi complex near Thekkatte Canara Bank, attempting to steal from the Meenakshi Furniture showroom, godown, and a tailor shop by forcibly opening the shutter. However, they were unsuccessful in their attempt to steal any items or cash.
On December 29, 2023, two masked robbers armed with lethal weapons attempted to break the lock of a jewellery shop situated in the Shanubhogue complex, as well as other nearby shops.
The robbery attempt was captured by CCTV cameras installed in the complex, with the footage subsequently going viral on social media. However, the shop owner did not file a complaint with the police.
The same perpetrators attempted to steal from a restaurant and bakery in Hallady, a medical shop in Moorukai, and a hotel in Saibrakatte. A spot inspection was conducted on April 4.
PSI Sudha Prabhu, ASI Ravi Kumar, and personnel Prasanna Maladi, Vijendra, Raghavendra, Ganesh, and Revathi from the Kota police station participated in the operation.
