Republic TV’s Arnab Goswami, Kannada editor booked for ‘false news’ on CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Mar 29: Republic TV owner Arnab Goswami and Republic Kannada editor Niranjan have been booked in Karnataka for allegedly airing false news about chief minister Siddaramaiah.

The case was registered at Bengaluru’s SJ Park police station following a complaint by Congress leader Ravindra.

Ravindra alleged that around 7:15 pm on Wednesday, Republic Kannada aired a news report falsely claiming that traffic was halted on MG Road to facilitate Siddaramaiah’s vehicle, causing an ambulance to get stuck in traffic.

However, Ravindra asserted in his complaint that Siddaramaiah was in Mysuru, not Bengaluru, at the time. He accused the channel of broadcasting false news to manipulate public opinion ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

    William, why would you pay 10% to subscribe to that channel to listen to fake and false news? He always hid truth. Did you hear from him on true facts on Manipur, Modi scandals such as electorol bond and many other scandals involving BJP politicians, women wrestlers, farmers agitation, etc. etc.? Just screaming from top of his voice will not make him a good anchor. Journalists like him have brought Indian journalism to his nadir. Because of such godi media, today we have numerous Youtubers mushrooming who tell you the truth. I would not watch such junk channel even if I get paid to do so.
