Beltangady, Mar 22: An unsettling incident has been reported in Tumakuru, where a car carrying three individuals hired from Beltangady was set ablaze and then pushed into a lake.
On Friday, March 22, the charred remains of three individuals were discovered in an Espresso car with the registration number KA 43, registered under the name of Rafeeq. The deceased have been identified as Sahul (45), a resident of T B Cross in Nada village of the taluk, Issac (56), hailing from Madadka in Kuvettu village, and Imtiaz (34), a resident of Shirlal village.
It is reported that five individuals were present in the car, with two currently unaccounted for.
The motive behind the group's journey to Tumakuru remains unclear at this point. Authorities are actively searching for the missing two. A case has been registered at Kora police station in connection with this alarming incident. SP Ashok KV has visited the site and is overseeing the investigation.
