Mangalore, Oct 1: St Aloysius B.Ed College annual day celebration was held here on Friday September 30.
Fr Clement Mascarenhas, principal of St Sebastian Pre University College Permamur, here was the chief guest of the occasion. "Teachers are like the musical chords with multiple notes. They create music out of the raw material entrusted to their care," he said.
Fr Mascarenhas lauded the efforts of teachers in shaping the young minds. He also exhorted the B.Ed students of St Aloysius College of Education to commit themselves to the cause of effective education.
In his presidential address, Fr Joseph Rodrigues SJ, Rector of St Aloysius College Institutions compared teachers to lamps who light the lives of students.
The three rank holders including Sr Irene Crasta who secured the fourth rank of the last years annual exams conducted by the Mangalore University were felicitated by dignitaries on the dais.
The formal programme was followed by a short cultural programme by the students of B.Ed students.
