Beltangady, Sep 30: Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, expressed concern over drivers of state-run ambulance services ‘Arogya Kavacha’ not reporting for duty as a part of their protest demanding state benefits.

Their protest has affected poor and sick patients across the state who are in need of state-run ambulance services.   Dr Heggade urged the kith and kin of drivers of ‘Arogya Kavacha’ to convince the agitating members to withdraw their protest on humanitarian grounds.  He also stressed that there are other lawful ways, such as wearing black ribbons while working and pressing the state authorities, of fulfilling their various demands.

Dr Heggade offered the services of five drivers who have consented to work voluntarily, in case the health department wishes to avail their services.
