Dubai, Sep 27: The newest comedy play written and directed by young playwright Pradeep Barboza, Paladka, ‘Ootre Uzwadle’ is taking final shape before its presentation before a gathering at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, Karama, on Friday October 14.
The talented artistes from Dubai, who have performed in plenty of plays in India and here, will perform in the play. Pradeep will play the lead role.
Konkan Yuva, an association of young Catholic members of Dubai, is putting together a mega event for the first time. Sourcess aid that the tickets for the show were released earlier this week and have received good response from theater enthusiasts.
President of Konkan Yuva Stephen Nazareth said, “We wanted to make sure that the tickets are available well in advance and have received good response to the opening sale. The entry ticket has been priced at an easily affordable Dh 30 and Dh 50, while children below 5 years will be admitted free. We have reached various societies (associations) among the Konkan community in person and the support for the programme is overwhelming."
“Together for Someone” is the main cause of the event. Nazareth added, "We have been humbled by the response we have received from our sponsors who have come in good numbers to support our cause. Some volunteers have even pledged their support to provide mass transportation to various camps in Al Quoz, Sonapur, Jabel Ali to facilitate free transportation to fellow Mangaloreans working in those sites."
