Beltangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School celebrates National Science Day

Beltangady, Feb 29: Science club members of Holy Redeemer English Medium School celebrated National Science Day on February 28 creatively. 

The programme began by seeking God's blessings. Gowrish of class 9 welcomed the gathering whole heartedly. Prajnesh of class 9 narrated the significance of National Science Day.  

Club members from class 1 to class 9 performed various activities depicting how science plays a pivotal role in daily life. Performances included a song, a poem and a dance on scientific aspects. The basic nature of solar system and vitality of fruits were enacted. Achievements and contributions of various Indian scientists were remembered.

Vaishnavi, Royline and Aleena of class 9 demonstrated simple experiments and conducted an interactive laboratory activities.  

The headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto appreciated and encouraged the students to love science. 

Manvitha of class 9 proposed the vote of thanks. Lavisha D’Costa of class 9 compered the programme. During the school assembly, Science oath was taken by all students and teachers, to inculcate scientific approach and develop love for science. 

Club mentors’ teachers Preetha D'Souza and Mary Suja guided the students.
