Kundapur, Feb 25: Prime minister Modi, noticing the economic distress faced by the rural population, has introduced the Ayushman Bharat and Arogya Vima schemes to alleviate their suffering. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, every year, BPL cardholders will receive free health benefits up to Rs five lac, and APL cardholders will receive benefits up to Rs two lac. Additionally, health insurance coverage up to Rs two lac will be provided for an annual premium of just Rs 22. People should make good use of these schemes,” said MP B Y Raghavendra.
Raghavendra spoke at the inauguration of the Free Dental Camp organized in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department, Udupi District, National Oral Health Policy, and Dental Luck Program, Udupi District, Community Health Center, Byndoor, and A J Dental College, Mangalore, as well as the Uppunda Farmers' Service Cooperative Society. He addressed the gathering of beneficiaries who received free dental treatment under the auspices of the Free Dental Camp.
Approximately 140 camp attendees received free dental fillings. The event was chaired by MLA Gururaj Gantiholi. District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr I P Gadaad, Taluk Health Officer Dr Premanand, Administrative Medical Officer of the Byndoor Community Health Center Dr Rajesh, and Dr Vidya Shenai, Head of Prosthodontics at Mangalore A J Institute of Dental Sciences, were present.
Shodhan Malpe of Samruddha Byndoor scheme compered the event and rendered a vote of thanks. Managing trustee of Samrudda Janaseva Charitable trust B S Suresh Shetty did the introduction and welcomed.
