Byndoor, Feb 25: “The Central Government has launched the Lakpati Didi scheme with the vision that women in rural areas should be economically empowered. Under this scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs one lac will be provided to one crore women in rural areas. This scheme will be implemented in the coming days. Working class should take advantage of the e-shrama scheme of the Central Government,” said MP B Y Raghavendra.
Raghavendra was speaking after inaugurating the labourers conference under the slogan "Samartha Bharat, Samrudda Byndoor," at the J N R Art Temple in Byndoor under the auspices of Udupi district Bharatiya Kattada mathu Ithare Nirmana Karmikara Sangha and Shram Charitable trust.
On the same occasion, discussions were held regarding the PM Vishwakarma scheme, which is an ambitious plan of the Narendra Modi government aimed at the economic and social development of the labor class and promoting self-reliant living.
This exchange of ideas took place in the presence of MLA Gururaj Gantiholi, Mohan Chandra, managing trustee of the Labor Charitable Trust, Santosh, president of the Trust, Varija, president of the PM Vishwakarma Committee and B S Suresh Shetty, convener of Samrudda Byndoor.
