Mangaluru, Feb 24: A J Institute of Management Mangaluru, hosted the installation programme of National Institute Of Personnel Management (NIPM) student chapter on the February 22. The event aimed to formally establish the NIPM student chapter at the institution and to induct its new members. The programme commenced with an invocation followed by the lighting of the lamp.
The chief guest, Dr Amitabh Anand, delivered an inaugural address, highlighting the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming Human Resources (HR) practices. He elaborated on how AI facilitates the identification of patterns and trends within employee data, helping HR professionals gain valuable insights into employee behaviour, performance, and satisfaction. His insights into the crucial role of effective human resource management in attaining organizational success resonated with the audience.
Steevan Pinto, chairman NIPM Mangalore chapter, the guest of honour, who imparted valuable insights and motivated the students to actively participate in the opportunities presented by the NIPM student chapter. Swapna Shetty, dean academics, then delivered the presidential remarks, elaborating on the significance of the collaboration.
The focal point of the occasion was the formal signing of the memorandum of understanding. Dr Vijay Kumar, principal of A J Institute of Management, and Stevan Pinto, chairman of NIPM Mangalore – Manipal chapter, prominently participated in the signing ceremony. This official agreement strengthened their dedication to collaborative initiatives aimed at advancing practices in personnel management.
The event was attended by a notable gathering of guests, faculty members, and students. Dr Amitabh Anand, associate professor, Excelia Business School in La Rochelle, France, graced the event as Steevan Pinto, chairman of the NIPM Mangalore chapter, was the guest of honour. T Jayaprakash Rao - director AJIM, Dr Vijaya Kumar - principal AJIM, Dr Swapna Shetty - dean Academics AJIM, Prof Roshella Dcosta - faculty co-ordinator and the faculty members of AJIM were present on the occasion.
Prof Roshella D'costa, faculty co-ordinator, delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to all present. Akash K, student coordinator of AJIM, delivered the vote of thanks. Deeksha B, first year of the MBA compered the ceremony.
