Mangaluru, Feb 22: “DYFI showing the picture of Koti Chennaya in the publicity banner of its state convention is an insult to the patriotic warriors. BJP Mangaluru Mandala condemns it,” said Mangaluru Mandala BJP president Jagadish Alva Kuvaithabail.
“A fanatic had made a derogatory statement against the statue of Dayi Baideti, the mother of Koti Chennaya in social media with her photo two years ago. BJP had campaigned against it. BJP will not tolerate the current insult to the devotees,” he said.
"The police department and the district administration should remove the banner to prevent unnecessary friction," he urged.
