Beltangady: Ace Artist Vilas Nayak in 'India’s Got Talent' Finals

Beltangady, Sep 24: He paints like no one else. In a matter of minutes, this ambidextrous man creates magic on canvas, with jaw-dropping precision.
Vilas Nayak, a native of Ujire in the taluk, has made the district proud by clearing initial hurdles and making it to the finals of ‘India’s Got Talent’ show being telecast on Color TV. His talent in creating a five feet painting within mere three to four minutes by a few playful strokes from both his hands, has mesmerized the judges and made Kannadigas from all over the country marvel at his skills and vote for him in abundance.
Nayak is a multi-talented person. While studying in SDM College Ujire, he secured seventh rank in BA degree examination. He then cleared MSW from Mysore University with second rank. He works in the human resources development department of a prestigious company at Bangalore at present.
Even as a student, Vilas had won three national level awards and three south India level recognitions. In the finals of the above reality show, Vilas will vie with five others, including Kudroli Ganesh, a magician from Mangalore. If he wins, he will make the state and the district proud, besides becoming richer by Rs 50 lac.
The final performance of the youngster will be telecast between 9 and 10 pm on Saturday September 24. Vilas, who is confident of receiving the winner’s cheque, is hopeful of emerging as a gifted artist in the coming days.
Those who wish to support Vilas may send the message, ‘VIL’ through SMS to 56882. The voting process will be open from 10 pm on September 24, to 9 am on September 30. Each person can send any number of SMS. However, messages sent through BSNL mobile connections will not get conveyed, it is gathered.
Apart from Vilas, another Mangalorean, ace magician Kudroli Ganesh too has reached the finals of the same show.
