Udupi, Feb 17: Parichaya Pratisthan, Pamboor is all set to present ‘Parichaya Rangotsava 2024’ from February 18 to 24. The programme will start at 6 30 pm for 7 days which includes Kannada, Tulu and Konkani dramas.
On February 18, ‘Leak out’ (Kannada) presented by the channel theatres Pandavapura Mandya, by Akshatha Pandavapura.
On February 19, ‘Jugari’ (Konkani) presented by Astitva Mangalore. The original story of this drama is adopted from Vaikam Mohammed Basher, Konkani formed by Roshan Adkabare, ranga, text, design , directed by Arun Lal, Kerala.
On February 20, ‘Onji Dammapada’ (Tulu) presented by Bhumi Geeta cultural foundation Palta, screenplay by I K Boluvaar, the drama is designed and directed by Santosh Nayak Patla .
On February 21, ‘Urulu’ (Kannada) presented by Suvarna Foundation Mangaluru, Hindi original script by Dr Shankar Shesh, the Kannada translation is done and directed by Sadananda Suvarna.
On February 22, ‘Marana Gendinaye’ (Tulu) presented by Sangam Kalavider Manipal will be presented. The drama is a Tulu translation of Niranjan's ‘Mrityunjaya’ novel, Kannada translation is done by Sachin Ankola, Tulu adaptation is done by Santosh Shetty Hiriyadka, Rohith S Baikadi has directed the drama.
On February 23, ‘Dadlyan modem tu sadev’ Konkani drama will be staged by Astitva troupe Mangaluru and Ranga Adhyayana Kendra of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru. The drama is written by Fr Alwyn Serao, and is directed by Christy Ninasam.
On February 24, ‘Makkala Ramayana’ presented by Surbhi Byndoor, will be staged. It is written by B R Venkataraman Aithal, and is directed by Ganesh Mandarthi.
Dr P B Prassana, associate professor, Women’s Government First Grade College, Ajjarkadu will inaugurate the programme on February 18 and Dr Gananath, former principal and folklore scholar of Thenkanidiyoor Government First Grade College will be the chief guest for the closing ceremony on February 24. Udupi district Kannada and culture department assistant director Poornima will be the guest of honour.
