Bantwal, Feb 13: The anniversary of Durga Mitra Vranda, Maira, Kepu here was celebrated on February 10.
Krishna Guruji, trustee of Kalikamba Anjaneya temple, Kukkaje inaugurated the hall programme held at Durga Mandira. Progressive honey cultivator, recipient of state award, Sudhakar Poojary and Adyandka C M Sounds proprietor Siddik Adyanadka were felicitated in the presence of dignitaries. Krishna Guruji in his discourse said that he is overjoyed by the gathering of people of all religions and the children. “The values grow from homes. It is possible to grow well in society by good values,” he said.
“What we have done during our lifespan is not important but how we lived is important. Let us not leave properties for our children but consider children as our wealth. Let there be the custom of bhajans at home. Let us keep children away from the menace of mobiles. May Durga Mitra Vranda gain more reputation and progress in unity,” he said.
“I have seen the activities of Durga Mitra Vranda from close distance. One should not forget the ladder on which he climbed after reaching the top. Success will be assured when we do our duty considering it as God,” he said.
“Youth should not walk on the wrong path. They should participate in competitive examinations and try to develop their careers,” said Mandya division superintendent of postal department, Loknath M. He said that the social initiative of Durga Mitra Vranda should be appreciated.
Mitra Vranda president Balakrishna Shetty Bengradi presided over the programme.
Kavita Ashok Iramoole, entrepreneur Govinda Rai Shenoy Adyanadka, Jagjivan Ram Shetty Bedemar, Purushotham Gowda Kallangala and Rashid Maira were present as guests of honor.
