Kasargod, Feb 11: Feast of Our Lady of Velankanni was celebrated on Sunday February 11. Fr Alban D’Souza the rector of St Lawrence Shrine Attur, Karkala was the main celebrant. Many priests concelebrated the eucharist.
A large crowd over three thousand people attended beyond the limits of caste and creed. The parish priest Fr Basil Vas distributed the honours and thanked all the donors. Fr Alban explained the need of Marian devotion in life as Christians and how she accompanies in the l journey of faith. A sumptuous vegetarian meal was served for all devotees.
