Mangalore: Monsoon Continues to be Weak

Mangalore, Sep 22: On Wednesday, both Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts enjoyed another sunny day. There were however, light drizzles in between, in all the taluks. The night drizzle ensured that temperature at night remained comfortable.

While Kumta in Uttara Kannada district and Lakkavalli in Shimoga district registered three cm rain, which was the highest in the state, the average rainfall in the cost hovered around one cm.

The meteorological department has predicted possibility of heavy rain in several places in the coastal belt of Karnataka, which may touch 65 mm, during the next two days. It also said that some places in southern hinterland and a few more in northern hinterland may also get rains during this period.
