Kundapur, Feb 3: The programme to inaugurate Dr Shivarama Karanth gateway and release the welcome tower T Shirt as part of the sports tournament of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada panchayat raj local organizations representatives and cultural festival 'Holapu-2024' was held at Kota Vivek High school on February 3.

SCDCC bank president Dr MN Rajendra Kumar inaugurated the gateway. It was followed by discussions on the details of Holapu programme. More than 6,000 elected representatives from 377 gram panchayats in undivided Dakshina Kannada district and 17 local administration bodies, officers and staff are expected to participate in Holapu programme.

Vidhan Parishad opposition party leader Kota Srinivas Poojary, Kotathattu gram panchayat president, Vivek PU College principal Jagadeesh Navada, panchayat member Gautham Altaru, Gopadi panchayat president Suresh Shetty, Vasu Poojary, Vittal Poojary and Karanth Prathistana office bearers were present.

Harish Shetty welcomed. Narendra Kumar Kota proposed a vote of thanks.
