Mangaluru, Jan 31: In the aftermath of Jagadish Shettar's departure from the Congress party and subsequent resignation, KPCC president D K Shivakumar assured that the vacant position would be offered to dedicated Congress activists. However, a growing sentiment among party supporters is advocating for the seat to be bestowed upon a sincere member of the Muslim community.
Party supporters are rallying behind the candidacies of Congress leaders Inayat Ali, KPCC chief secretary, and youth leader Suhail Kandak.
Inayat Ali's longstanding commitment to the party, adherence to its principles and policies, and active engagement in community service, particularly for the welfare of the people and the underprivileged, have positioned him as a favorable candidate in the eyes of those advocating for the allocation of the vacant seat to a deserving Muslim community member.
