Mangaluru, Jan 31: The parish feast of St Vincent Ferrer Church Valencia was celebrated in a devotional atmosphere on January 28.

Prior to the solemn festal Mass, Fr Roque D’Sa parish priest distributed ‘Candles of Honour’ to all the members of the parish pastoral council, gurkars and representatives of the wards, presidents of various parish associations, people those who have contributed towards the feast and also the sponsors. Ronald Rodrigues, vice president of the parish pastoral council read out the list of names.

The main celebrant for the Eucharistic Mass was Fr Lancy D’Souza assistant parish priest St Lawrence Church Bondel Mangaluru.

Parish priest Fr Roque D’Sa, assistant parish priest Fr Vijay Monterio, dean of episcopal city deanery and parish priest of St Sebastian Church Bendore Fr Vincent Monterio, parishioner Fr William Barracas and Fr Charles Menezes, FMCI chaplain Fr Ronald Lobo, and Gladsom Home rector Fr Harry D’Souza, Asha Kiran Jesuit house director Fr Ronald Crasta SJ were the co-celebrants.

Fr Lancy extended his greetings to the priests and all the parishioners. Parish priest greeted the parishioners and thanked everyone for their contribution, participation and co-operation. Around, 1500 parishioners actively participated in the celebration.
