Jubail, Sep 17: India Fraternity Forum (IFF) organized a grand Eid Milan programme for its volunteers and their family members here at Jubail Cornice recently.
The programme commenced with a talk on the subject "The importance of gathering" addressed by PRO of Eastern Region Zafarullah Khan.
He requested all Muslims to celebrate Eid with its real spirit, because it is a blessed occasion, which marks completion of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.
IFF president Mohammed Sharif in his address concluding the programme said that expatriates living away from the country should try to play a positive role in educating and empowering Indian community. He urged everyone to put their efforts, time and money for the purpose.
Various programmes and competitions were conducted as a part of the Meet. Indoor and outdoor games for children, women and men were organized. There were games like volley ball, table tennis, carrom board and catching balloon. Winners were awarded later at the end of the celebrations.
IFF is a social welfare organization having members from all over India. It assists Indians in humanitarian and legal matters by coordinating with the Indian Embassy.
Sohrab Ahmad delivered the vote of thanks. Sayeed Ahmad of Maharashtra compered, assisted by Rasheed Foujdar of Karnataka.
