Hyderabad, Sep 17 (IANS): Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) managing director B.V. Srinivasa Reddy, who is under CBI custody, was Saturday taken from Hyderabad to Karnataka's Bellary for probe in connection with the seizure of Rs.4.9 crore from a truck.
Two people were Thursday arrested with the cash in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district. They reportedly told the police that the money belonged to Srinivasa Reddy.
According to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sources, Srinivasa Reddy was lodged at Pramadevanahalli police station. He will be taken to Axis Bank and branches of other banks in Bellary for checking his accounts.
Srinivasa, along with his brother-in-law and former Karnataka minister G. Janardhana Reddy, was arrested by CBI in Bellary Sep 5 for illegal mining.
They are currently in CBI custody in Hyderabad. The investigating agency grilled them during last four days and also questioned two brothers of Janardhana Reddy.
