Beltangady, Jan 23: In a tragic incident that occurred at Kannaje of Nada village in the taluk, a 1.11-year-old child accidentally fell into the pond of the family farm and died on January 22.

Reyan D’Souza, son of Roshan D’Souza, a local resident is the unfortunate toddler who lost his life.

The child went playing from house towards the pond, slipped and fell into it.
