Mangalore, Sep 14: Catholic Sabha Mangalore and Fudar Prathistana jointly organized a political awareness workshop for the members of ZP, TP, gram panchayath and APMC of twin district here at Rosario cultural hall on Sunday September 11.

Inaugurating the programme Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu, the vicar general of Mangalore Diocese said that the common people should obtain positive impact and help from politics.

The aim of political science is to make life bearable for every individual in the society. Hence the workshop is for those serving in political field is an appreciable step by the organizers, he lauded.

Gerald Fernandes, Udupi ZP ex-president, Veronica Carnelio, Udupi ZP ex-president, Anthony D’Souza Nakre, ex-president APMC Karkala were the resource persons.

Fr Stany Goveas, Rosario Cathedral led the prayer. Denis D’Silva, state president of Federation Christian organization was the chief guest. Gerald D’Costa, former president of Catholic Sabha, Francis D’Souza, regional president, Joseph Nazreth, Richard Pais, Melwyn D’Souza, Shilpa D’Souza were present.

Walter Cyril Pinto, president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore welcomed. William Machado, secretary was present. Deepak D’Souza was the convener of the programme.
