Mangalore: Retreated Rains Come Back at Night

Mangalore, Sep 12: While almost the entire coastline of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts went without any rain during the day on Sunday September 11, rain appeared at night. Subrahmanya in Sullia taluk was the only region where there was good rain on Sunday afternoon. Intermittent showers were also reported from a few places.

Subrahmanya recorded three cm of rain, highest in the state. The average rainfall in coastal region was one cm.

Landslide in a hillock near Subrahmanya affected traffic for some time. The meteorological department has predicted rainfall in most of the places in the coast, several places in southern hinterland and a couple of places in northern hinterland.
