DVS Smells Conspiracy by Cong Behind 'Reddy’s Arrest'

Bangalore, Sep 9: Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda accused the Congress party of hatching a conspiracy in the arrest of former minister G Janardhana Reddy and declared that the BJP will evolve a strategy to counter the conspiracy.
The Chief Minister, who was accompanied by State Rural Development Minister Jagadish Shettar and State BJP President K S Eshwarappa, spoke to reporters at the Jindal airport in Bellary on the way to Koppal to be present during the filing of the nomination papers by the ruling party candidate Karadi Sanganna in the ensuing by-election on September 26.
Gowda said he would discuss the issue with the Central BJP leaders on the strategy to be adopted in meeting the situation arising out of the arrest of the Bellary mining lord, who is presently under judicial custody in the Chanchalgud Central Jail in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister held discussions with the Bellary district Deputy Commissioner Adidya Amlan Biswas and Superintedent of Police Chandrakant Gupta on the law and order situation in the district, including the acts of hooliganism and stray incidents of violence during the recent Bellary bandh called by the supporters of Reddy.
