Mangaluru, Dec 24: The Christmas celebration at the primary wing of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru was ushered in the festive spirit of love, peace and joy on December 23, 2023. The highlight of the celebration was the heart-warming performances put up by the students of grade II C and D.
The programme commenced with a prayer dance. Avani and Reyansh welcomed the gathering and specially the Chief Guest Sr Freda, the Superior of Veronica Vihar, Maryhill. The students articulated the true essence of Christmas very meaningfully. What happened in the town of Bethlehem 2000 years ago, the birth of the Prince of Peace, Lord Jesus was nostalgically depicted in the form of carols, a dance and a skit. Santa’s bell spread positive vibes among the students.
The Chief Guest Sr Freda in her message signified the true meaning of Christmas. She said to open our herts to love, extend our hands to help the needy and to find joy in giving than in receiving. The winners of Children’s’ Day and Christmas competitions were felicitated. Shivanshi and Delony conveyed the note of gratitude.
As part of the celebration, the students exchanged kuswar in their respective classrooms and relished the cake distributed by the school.
