Udupi, Dec 8: The district BJP has urged the concerned to solve sand and other issues. BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak warned of laying a siege to the office of the deputy commissioner (DC) if the problems being faced in the district are not resolved within the next ten days.
He stated in a press release, "No development works have taken place even after six months since the new state government came to power. People have not been able to obtain sand. Single layout processes, land conversions and such other processes by the urban development authority are not taking place properly. New ration cards are not being issued and even amendments are not permitted. People are not able to get their issues addressed in the government offices. Citizens who had high hopes from the new government are disappointed.
"The Congress MLAs have raised their voices in the assembly and public that they are not getting sufficient funds for projects. Therefore, the government is a zero progress government.
“Udupi district administration and district in charge minister should respond to the issues in the district and set development works in motion. They should provide sufficient sand to the people. They should provide impetus to ration card corrections and other government works. If these problems are not solved within next ten days, large scale protests will be held together with people by laying a siege to the office of the deputy commissioner,” stated Kuilady Suresh Nayak in the press release.
