Hyderabad, Dec 7: Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who was entrusted with the responsibility of managing the Congress party’s campaign in Telangana, said the newly formed Revant Reddy’s government will implement the guarantees promised to the electorate and win the trust of the people.
“The people of Telangana have reposed faith in the Congress party. The new government will act to win over their trust as well by implementing the guarantees,’’ he said speaking to media persons in Hyderabad.
Shivakumar said the Revant Reddy government will keep its promises.
To a question on senior BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal’s charge that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had shared a public platform with terrorists, Shivakumar said: “Yatnal must be having some problems and does not know what he sees or talks about. Let us send him to NIMHANS or any other hospital for treatment.’’
Asked about the results of the five State assembly polls, the Deputy Chief Minister said: “The results were not as per our expectations. But we respect the verdict from the people.’’
When asked over BJP’s criticism against him that he was not seen in the Belagavi legislature session, he quipped: “They must be missing me. Let them search for me.’’
