New Delhi, Dec 5: Pujya Priyadarshni quit the UPSC exam attempts after she failed for three consecutive times. However, she eventually cracked it with an astounding AIR 11. The story of Pujya is inspiration to many young aspirants who want to become IAS officers.
After completing her BCom in New Delhi, Pujya went on to do post-graduation in public administration from Columbia University in New York. She prepared for the UPSC while working for a company for about two years after completing her post-graduation.
Pujya’s first attempt at the UPSC in 2013 was disaster. Then she could not attempt for three long years and studied with more determination. In 2016, though she went to the interview round, she could not clear the hurdle. Further in 2017, she could not clear the exams again. Totally frustrated, she thought of not attempting further.
Pujya’s family coaxed her to take one more attempt in 2018. With renewed determination and inspired by family support Pujya finally secured a stunning AIR 11 in 2018.
She advices candidates not to get bogged down by failures but identify the grey areas and work on it more.
