Mangalore: CCCI Invites Applications for Annual ‘Rachana’ Awards

Mangalore, Sep 3: ‘Rachana’ – Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has invited applications from people belonging to Catholic community of Mangalore origin, with impressive achievements in different fields, for ‘Rachana Awards – 2010’.

The awards will be conferred in five fields, farmer, professional (doctors, lawyers, engineers, and chartered accountants), entrepreneur, non-resident entrepreneur/professional, and woman achiever. The awards carry a medal, citation, memento and public felicitation.

The applications can be made directly by an achiever. On the other hand, recommendation/nomination for the awards can also be made along with photograph of the person. A team of 15 jurists will choose the awardees.

The application/recommendation/nomination letters should be sent to the Chairman, Rachana, Bishop’s House, Kodialbail, Mangalore – 575003, or by email to rachanamangalore@gmail.com. The applications should be sent so as to reach the concerned before September 12.

The awards function will be held on November 27 this year in the city, in the presence of the state Governor and Mangalore Bishop. Additional details on the subject may be collected from the office of Rachana, a release stated.
