He was speaking after inaugurating the Sri Durga Mahila Chende Balaga during a function held at Durgaparameshwari temple, Bantakal, near here, on Wednesday August 31.
Temple managing trustee P Vishwanat Nayak inaugurated the first show on the occasion.
Veteran Chende teacher Marpalli Subramanya Upadhyaya and Kalavati, who bagged 95% in II PUC, were felicitated on the same occasion.
Temple trustee Sasidar Wagle presided over the programme. Chende Balaga founder president Leelavati L Patkar was present on the dais.
Rajapur Saraswat Yuva Vranda president K Ramaraya Patkar, retired head master B R Prabhu, and M B Nayak were also present on the occasion.
Mahila Sangh president Geetha Wagle welcomed the gathering. Rohini J Nayak introduced the dignitaries. Arundhati Prabhu compered the programme while secretary Bhavani Nayak proposed the vote of thanks.
