Kundapur, Nov 19: "Police are a part of society. There is no need to be scared of them. If good seeds are sown in students, it will result in good citizens. Organizing the essay competition on the subject 'Na Kandanthe Police' is really meaningful," said Kundapur DySP Belliappa.

Belliappa made these remarks while inaugurating the essay competition organized by the Kundapur Taluk Working Journalists' Association.

He continued, "Let the opinions expressed about the police be honest and open. Students should write what they feel and have seen about the police. It will be useful for us to correct ourselves. It will be good if selected essays are published in newspapers."

DDPI Ganapati, the chief guest, stated, "The police and education department have a strong bond. The department is doing the good work of creating awareness among the public about the law. Students should not be attracted to drugs and other unlawful activities. Journalists have organized this essay competition, understanding their responsibility towards society."

Rajesh Shetty Alevoor, the president of the association, said, "Various programs are organized by the association, which is celebrating its silver jubilee. We have also organized a quiz competition and village stay."
