Kasargod, Nov 19: "Politics in development will be a set back for Kerala. The stance taken by opposition parties on the government's schemes is not right," said Pinarayi Vijayan, CM of Kerala.
Vijayan made these remarks during the inauguration of the Navakerala Sadas at the Paivalike City Higher Secondary School grounds on Saturday evening.
Pinarayi opposed the policies of the Union BJP government and Congress, stating that they are following anti-people policies. He mentioned that the highway construction is progressing rapidly and will be completed in the next two years.
Vijayan criticized the move by the UDF, which boycotted the Navakerala Sadas, stating that their actions go against democracy. He highlighted the achievements of the government, such as the construction of four lakh houses under the LIFE scheme, distribution of land records to three lakh people, and free medical facilities provided to 27.5 lakh people.
"Financial constraints are hindering the government from providing more facilities to eligible people. Nevertheless, the government is doing its best and attempting to improve the financial position. The Union government is neglecting Kerala, and delayed pensions will be distributed soon. Kerala has transformed since 2016 and has progressed rapidly in the past 7.5 years," said Vijayan.
