Mangalore: Devotees Take Holy Dip at Someshwar on Shravan Amavasya

Mangalore, Aug 29: Hundreds of devotees gathered at Shri Someshwar Temple here on Monday August 29 on the occasion of Shravan Amavasya.

Shravan Amavasya is considered to be one of the most auspicious days as per Hindu calendar.

Devotees later took a dip in the Someshwar sea waters in their quest to attain salvation and get freed from their sins.

It is also believed that taking a holy dip on this day keeps oneself prosperous, happy and healthy.

Someshwara is very nice place , that too after renovation of the temple and the beach, it is inviting lot many of people. There is a need for huge development, then it will become Like Murudeshwara of D.K. dist.
