Mangaluru, Oct 22: The mortal remains of Ligori D’Souza (78), a resident of Neerude, who went missing on October 19, was found at Gurpur river on Sunday October 22.
A complaint was earlier registered at Bajpe police station.
An ambulance driver found the body in the river. The body was retrieved and sent for post mortem. The family members were informed.
It may be recalled, as per the complaint from the family members, Ligori D’Souza left home on October 19 in the afternoon. He boarded the bus at Neerude bus stop and got down at Kinnigoli junction. He left his mobile phone and other belongings at home. He had Rs 200 when he left his home. Realizing that Ligori had not reached home in the evening, the family members started looking for him at their relatives’ houses and surroundings but in vain.
