Mangalore: More Drug Peddlers Arrested - Ganja, Brown Sugar, Seized

Mangalore, Aug 25: The Urwa police arrested two persons who were allegedly peddling ganja and brown sugar, and confiscated drugs worth Rs 9,600 from their possession on Wednesday August 24.
The arrested have been identified as Prashant alias Pachchu (25) from Kodical in the city, and Ashraf (32), from Manjeshwar. 480 grams of ganja, 300 mg brown sugar, and two mobile phones were recovered from them.
A police team led by Urwa station police sub-inspector, Suresh P, based on reliable information, approached a hostel near Baliga Store in Bejai, and found the above two persons moving suspiciously. When they were questioned, the policemen found drugs in their possession.
The accused reportedly confessed that they had come there to sell drugs to students. The policemen have gathered that ganja had been brought from Kerala, while brown sugar was got by Ashraf from Goa.
