Udupi, Aug 24: A ‘Muddu Krishna’ fancy dress competition was held at Laxmi Janardhan temple auditorium, Kaup, near here, on Monday August 22, under the aegis of Kaup Jaycees and Jayalaxmi Jewellers.
JCI national director Sadanand Navada inaugurated the event here on Monday. Kaup Jaycees president Rajendra B K presided over the programme. Kaup Vidyaniketan Group of education institutions correspondent K P Acharya was the chief guest on the occasion.
Laxmi Janardhan temple managing trustee Jayaram Shetty, JCI zonal officers Deepak Kumar Yermal, and Praveen Kumar Gurme were the guests of honour.
Jayalaxmi Jewellers proprietor Jagadish Acharya and Jayceeret president Reshma Rajendra were also present on the dais.
Yakshagana artiste Vishvanat Rao, Umesh Nayak, and Vineshwari Gurme were the jurors.
Rajendra B K welcomed the gathering while Kaup Jaycees secretary Sandeep Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
Hundreds of children participated in three categories of the competition.
