Mangalore: Police Arrest Drug Peddler, Seize Ganja Packets

Mangalore, Aug 21: Acting on a tip off, a team led by Mangalore East Police (crime branch) PSI Vinayak on Sunday August 21 arrested a man for possessing 650 grams of ganja worth Rs 10,000.
The arrested is Abdul Rahim alias Chappethanni Rahim (31), a resident of Bengre Kasaba. He was picked up by the police near Jyothi bus stand in the city.
Rahim is an accused in seven other cases, including those of murder and attempt to murder, as per police records. Currently three cases are in progress in the court of law.
The arrest took place under the guidance of police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, DYSP Mutthuraya and Dharmayya, ASP Ravindra Gadadi.
Mangalore East police station SI C Kiran, ASI Sukumar, staff Yashavanth, Prakash, Veerabadra were part of the operation.
