Mangalore: Police Drag Feet in Rave Party Investigation

Mangalore, Aug 15: It has been more than a day since the Bajarang Dal activists raided a rave party at a resort near Ullal beach. But, Ullal police have not been able to arrest any of those involved.
 
The drug mafia is active in Dakshina Kannada district as was proved by an incident of ‘ganja’ smuggling in the city a week ago. The Bajarang Dal had appealed to the commissioner of police act against the mafia. However, the police did not arrest anyone in the case. The leaders of Bajarang Dal had also said that if the police department fails to trace the peddlers, they will initiate action against the ‘ganja’ mafia in the city.





 
As per this, the Bajarang Dal activists raided the rave party at Maharani Guest House near Ullal beach in the late hours of Saturday August 13. When the raid occurred, there were about 30 members but the police could take only three into custody. Sources have informed that no case has been registered against them.
 
The Ullal police said that the accused are absconding after the incident and the persons involved in the illegal act will be arrested soon.

    OH free is it....so there were no benefits for them huh? ....self motivated....efficient... at what....violence....so your advocating violence over peaceful drug use huh?....and the stats show that drug use keeps increasing no matter what you do....but in places where it is legalized drug use among youngsters s dramatically the stats say it all...this was an outright robbery/terrorism...anybody who supports it is a part of the terror network...the battle may be theirs but the war is for the peace lovers..!! mo doubt about that.!!

    Why do we need police when we have Bajrangdal? The police force costs big money to the tax payer. Bajrangdal and Ramasene have been looking after law and order in the state for free. More over the BD and RS are self motivated and are extremely efficient and do not take bribes. So who do you want? The Police or the BD???

    It's not just clear as to who is in-charge, Bajrang Dal or the police. These goondas think that because BJP is in power they can do whatever they like with impunity. We will once again have lawless situation. Police commissioner, as you listening?

    This is outrageous. The Bajrang Dal gained courage due to police inaction during precious occasions. The BD  are petty thieves in the guise of moral policing. They had robbed the valets of all the youngsters, lifted few mobile phones, snatched few gold chains and destroyed the antic value furniture of Mr. Jain in their private farm house.
    Why don’t police charge-sheet them under organised crime and goonda act. They ed the youth’s religion while beating them and attacked the farm worker and molested his wife. Why the RSS HQ and the BJP leadership is not giving any statement against such shameful act.
    If moral policing by BD/VHP/Rama Sene is allowed to continue unchecked, one day things will explode beyond control and the subsequent unrest will slow down the overall progress of our region.

    Police are getting handful only because of these illegal activities... w/o these acivities how can they live a big bunglow, posh lifestyle and get transfers wherever they like....
