Udupi: Teacher's Day celebration held at St Cecily’s Kannada higher primary school

Udupi, Sep 7: Commemorating the birth of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, St Cecily’s Kannada higher primary school, celebrated Teacher's Day on September 5 with enthusiasm.

The celebration started with paying respect to Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, followed by prayer service. Sr Vibha, headmistress welcomed the gathering, and a group of students symbolically welcomed everyone with a dance.

The student council honoured the teachers with a rose, conducted games and entertained teachers with their beautiful programme.

As a mark of the bicentennial celebration of the birthday of founderess venerable Mother Veronica, the retired teachers of the school were honoured for their loving and dedicated services to the institutions. Joint secretary Sr Therese Jyothi in her presidential address appreciated the unwavering commitment of teachers and thanked them for their selfless services rendered in institution for the past years. 

At the end of the programme the vote of thanks was delivered by Manvith.
