Mumbai, Sep 3 (IANS): Reality TV sensation Shiv Thakre, best known for his appearances in the shows ‘MTV Roadies Season 15’, ‘Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2’ and ‘Bigg Boss Season 16’ conducted aagaman aarti in Mumbai, in honour of Lord Ganesha
The TV personality was spotted in the midst of a bunch of Ganapati devotees at Aagman Aarti of Mumbaicha Maharaja Khetwadi at the Ganpati Aagman Sohala 2023 ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chathurti festivities on September 19.
The area of Khetwadi is home to one of the tallest statues of Ganapti, having a figure which is over 45ft tall in the 11th lane. Shiv Thakre himself is a big devotee of the Lord Ganesha and has participated in the various rituals honouring the deity.
Taking to his Instagram stories, he captioned: “Aagman Aarti of 45feet tall Mumbaicha Maharaja Ganpati at Khetwadi”

Wearing a simple blue, but elegant kurta and a white cap much like the rest of the devotees, he was first seen offering his prayers in front of the massive Ganapati statue and doing Arti alongside thousands of other people, chanting with full vigour ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’.
Later he walked up on stage and touched the footsteps of the figure, offering his prayers and bowing his head in reverence before getting up and standing in front of the audience, doing a humble namaskaram.
The many Ganapati devotees gathered at the procession, further chanted ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ while many others were taking shots and videos of the actor.

Primarily known as a dancer, due to his long appearance on ‘Roadies’ and his familiarity with the system, he recently appeared as a guest Gang Leader on ‘MTV Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand’, and before that he was even touted as one of the potential Gang Leaders.
