Udupi: Student club committees at MCBR, MAHE inaugurated

Udupi, Aug 19: Manohar Nayak, managing director of Lingo India Pvt Ltd and founder of Shankh Sound Studio, Mumbai, graced the occasion as the chief guest for the inauguration of the student Clubs ‘ArTure’ (Art and Culture) and ‘Off the Trail’ (Outbound Activities) at Manipal Centre for Biotherapeutics Research (MCBR), MAHE, Manipal.

Addressing the audience, Nayak stressed the significance of following one's heart while pursuing professional endeavours. He emphasized the value of staying connected with one's cultural roots and deriving contentment from promoting homeland culture. Encouraging students to venture beyond classroom confines, he recounted his personal journey as a storyteller, captivating the audience with his inspirational narrative.

Dr Sharath K Rao, pro vice chancellor (Health Sciences) of MAHE, and president of the event, applauded MCBR's commitment to nurturing students' holistic growth. He underscored India's rich cultural heritage and underscored the pivotal role that art and culture play in shaping individuals' lives. Dr Rao urged students to actively engage in outbound activities alongside their academic pursuits. He recommended students to join both ‘ArTure’ and ‘Off the Trail’ clubs to optimize the benefits of club activities.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Dr Raviraja NS, professor and coordinator at MCBR. Ruchitaa Keshav introduced the esteemed chief guest, while Anamika Ajay, president of the ‘ArTure’ club, and Chirag Shetty, president of ‘Off the Trail’, provided insights into their respective clubs' initiatives.

Concluding the proceedings, Amitha Kamath, secretary of the ‘ArTure’ club, extended gratitude through a vote of thanks. The event was hosted by Bhavya Nayak, the master of ceremony.

The inauguration of ‘ArTure’ and ‘Off the Trail’ student clubs marked a significant step towards fostering cultural engagement and experiential learning at MCBR, MAHE, Manipal.
