Mangaluru, Aug 18: 'Investing a full-time activity, there is no short cut for making money', going by this quote, we at Srinivas not only stick on the curriculum but also go beyond it to make it easy for our students to understand the practical reality of investing activities.

Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management had organised a Guest talk on 'BSE – The power of Vibrance – CAPITAL MARKET AWARENESS' for MBA students. Dr Swapna Shetty, who was the speaker for the session, shared her knowledge and experience about share market and investment activities. Dr Shetty, has a domain expertise in Finance, Business Process Analysis and Training & Development.

Dr Shetty who is currently teaching Strategic Financial Management and Business Research Methods in a reputed college, spoke about the requirements that are essential to open a Demat Account and the basic knowledge required to start with trading activities. She spoke on how students should start saving money and start with investing activities so that they can get to know about the trading activities.

She mentioned about the different types of investment structures along with the returns, safety andrisk involved in those structures.Students took active participation in the session and cleared the doubts what they had regarding investment and trading activities. Dr Shetty also gave a insight of how one can make money by keeping a track on the share values and making a systematic investment plan. Overall, the session was very informative and valuable as important concepts were explained in easy simple way by Dr Swapna Shetty.
