Mangaluru: Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College celebrates Independence Day

Mangaluru, Aug 16: Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College celebrated Independence Day with great pomp and joy. A sense of pride and happiness could be seen on everybody's face. All the students and teachers assembled in the school premises at 8.30 am. The programme began with the singing of Vande Mataram.

The national tricolour was hoisted by the chief guest Jayaram Karandur, the PTA vice-president, along with the joint secretary Sister Violet Tauro AC and heads of Ladyhill Institutions. This was followed by the singing of national anthem. Significance of the day was given by Shravya.


The second part of the celebration was the colourful programme in the school auditorium. The spectacular cultural programme began with the prayer service followed by the welcome dance. The students of class 10th D performed the dance drama on the 'life of a soldier' and 'present India'.

The chief guest Jayaram karandur delivered his Independence Day message, in which he urged the students to bring patriotism in their routine life and be good citizens of India.

The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by Sneha. The programme was compered by Kavya, Sania and Jiya.
