Mangaluru: 77th Independence Day celebrated at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Aug 16: The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour and patriotism at the Srinivas University Pandeshwar campus on August 15.

The esteemed chief guest for the event was Dr P S Aithal, the vice chancellor of Srinivas University, who unfurled the national flag. In his address, he emphasized the significance of maintaining discipline and fostering mutual understanding to create a positive environment. He reiterated that every individual is treated with equality in the nation.

Dr Ajay Kumar, registrar of development, Srinivas University, shared valuable insights during his speech. He encouraged everyone to relish their freedom while actively engaging in altruistic endeavours. He emphasized the need to not only pursue personal growth but also to remain loyal and committed to the betterment of the country.

Dr. Anil Kumar, registrar of Srinivas University, emphasized the pivotal role of the youth in nation-building. He stressed the importance of the younger generation's active participation in the development of the country and urged them to stay away from the menace of drugs.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Prof Venkatesh Amin, the dean of the Institute of Management and Commerce. Dr Padmanabha B, the dean of the Institute of Education, expressed thanks to all the participants. The programme was compered by Prof Meghashree.
