Qatar, Aug 6: The valedictory ceremony of Karnataka Sangha’s first ever ‘Youth Leadership Programme -2011’ was held at Indian Cultural Centre, recently.
KSQ in association with Talking Matters Toast Masters Club organized the event to give an opportunity to children hailing from the State of Karnataka, who stay back in Qatar during summer holidays.
The programme which was started on July 17 had received good response from the children. The main intent of the programme was to provide a platform to children so that they communicate well to become better leaders tomorrow.
The final day session began with a welcome speech by KSQ president V S Mannangi. He emphasized on the need of having effective communication in present day world and made his intent of organizing a similar event next year too for the children who missed out this time. The final day session was completely managed by YLP Toast Masters. The children astonished gathered audience with their scintillating performance.
The main co-ordiantor of the event was TM Javed Khan. He was assisted by TM Vivek Prabhakar, Madam TM Ramya Vivek, TM Shyam Sundar and TM Aravind Aiyer.
Prasad, president, Talking Matters Toast Master Club, divisional governor TM Krishna Kumar, V S Mannangi, president KSQ and Manjunath Rao, KSQ children co-ordinator were there on the dais to distribute certificates to the children. KSQ presented mementos to TM's who were involved in organizing the event.
Arun Kumar and Prabhakar ex-presidents of KSQ, Milan Arun, Head of affiliations- ICC and many other office-bearers of KSQ and Talking Toast Masters were present. Deepak Shetty, general secretary of KSQ proposed the vote of thanks.
