Mangaluru: 77th Independence Day celebrated at Devamatha English Medium School Amtoor

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The 77th anniversary of Independence Day was celebrated at Devamatha English Medium School Amtoor on August 15, Tuesday.

Advocate Ravindra Kukkaje unfurled the national flag and received the guard of honour by Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbul cadets.

The programme was presided over by the correspondent of the school Fr Anil Canute Dmello. Vice-president of Parish Pastrol Council Santhosh D'Souza, Secretary Wilfred Lobo, St Antony, headmistress, Sr Annie D Souza and school committee members were present.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Aruna. Rila spoke about the day's importance and a befitting vote of thanks was rendered by Emiliana and the masters of ceremony were Linet and Vinod. Sweets were distributed to all those who were gathered for the occasion.
