Bantwal, Aug 6: “If students develop mental agility and concentration and are willing to put in hard work towards their goal, success will come to them,” said Dr Akthar Hussein, secretary, Yenepoya University managing committee.
Dr Hussein was the chief guest speaking at the felicitation programme of toppers of II PUC and inaugural ceremony of the students’ union at Melkar Women’s Pre-University College, near here, on Friday August 5.
Melkar Women’s Pre-University College managing committee secretary Aziz Hassan inaugurated the programme.
Hassan said that education is not restricted to securing employment, it is also helpful in inculcating moral values. angalore Education Enhancement Trust chairman Rashid presided over the programme.
Dr Imtiyaz of Yenepoya Medical College distributed prizes to the talented students.
H Kasim Ahmed, P C Hasheer, S Abbas, and Abbas Hameed also spoke on the occasion.
College principal B K Abdul Latif administered the oath to the students’ union leader. Vice-principal Sunita Pereira welcomed the gathering. Lecturer Viona Lobo proposed the vote of thanks. Students’ union leader Fatimat Shamia compered the programme.
